Press Release: Everwell Mental Health Appoints Clinical Director Melissa Murphy LPC
Fairfield, CT — October 18, 2025 — Everwell Mental Health is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa Murphy, LPC, as its new Clinical Director. A seasoned psychotherapist, group facilitator, and former program director, Melissa brings more than 14 years of clinical experience and a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, courage, and compassion.
As Clinical Director, Melissa will oversee Everwell’s growing team of clinicians and guide the organization’s therapeutic vision—ensuring that Everwell continues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, and accessible mental health care to the Fairfield community and beyond.
“Melissa’s leadership, clinical wisdom, and heart-centered approach embody Everwell’s mission,” said Anthony A. Cernera, M.Ed., M.A., LPC-A, Executive Director of Everwell. “She combines deep clinical expertise with an intuitive understanding of what helps people heal and grow. We are honored to have her guiding our clinical programs.”
Melissa’s work integrates traditional psychotherapy with spiritually informed, trauma-responsive, and group-based modalities that help clients reconnect with their sense of self and purpose. Her expertise includes treating anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, emotional regulation, and attachment-related issues.
Before joining Everwell, Melissa served as a program director and therapist across multiple levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and residential settings. She also founded Growth & Resilience Group, a private practice dedicated to helping individuals and families move through life transitions and recover from emotional overwhelm.
At Everwell, Melissa is building a therapeutic community that values both clinical excellence and the human spirit—where expert-led care, prevention, and personal transformation go hand in hand.
Melissa is currently accepting clients who are insured through UnitedHealthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Magellan, and Husky, as well as individuals who are self-pay. Her pro bono and sliding-scale spots have limited availability, and interested individuals may contact Everwell’s administrative team for more information.
